An Oak Grove man was cited to court after authorities say his dog attacked and injured a small child Saturday afternoon.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 100 block of North Calvacade Circle in Oak Grove at 1:30 p.m. in which an investigation determined some children came down to play with the children of 28-year old Patrick Gilbert when a pit bull got loose and came out the front door and attacked a small child. Deputies say the child was taken to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital on Fort Campbell for treatment of severe lacerations to the face.
Gilbert was charged with harboring a vicious animal and scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.
