An Owensboro woman was arrested in Christian County after deputies reportedly found a stolen pressure washer in the back of a U-Haul.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies made a traffic stop on the U-Haul in the 1900 block of Dawson Springs Road shortly before 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. Deputies say the driver and passenger matched the description of two suspects who had possibly stolen a pressure washer from the 22,000 block of North Greenville Road. During a search of the U-Haul, deputies reportedly found several items in the back including the stolen pressure washer.
Deputies say 28-year old Laura Bermudez was arrested and gave them a false name. She was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000 and Giving Officer False Identifying Information. She was also served warrants for a parole violation after she was convicted for trafficking meth in Daviess County Circuit Court, and for failure to appear in Daviess County.
