Police Investigating Hit And Run In Hopkins County

Kentucky State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a vehicle that hit a pedestrian near Nortonville Thursday morning.

Public Information Officer Trooper Rob Austin says an investigation discovered 29-year old Dakota Gobin of Providence was walking northbound on the shoulder of US 41, about two miles south of Nortonville when an unknown vehicle hit him from behind shortly before 10:45 a.m.  A passerby stopped to provide aid to Gobin and then called 911. Gobin was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment of injuries.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the hit and run is asked to call KSP Post in Madisonville at (270) 676-3313.
