Kentucky State Police and the Christian County Coroner’s office are conducting a death investigation after human remains were located in a home in Fairview Wednesday afternoon.
Deputy Coroner Zach Lamb says he was called to KY 1801 after remains were found inside a home.
The remains were found when officials went to the home after receiving a call to check on the welfare of a man who had not been heard from for nearly a year.
Lamb says the autopsy is being conducted Thursday at the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville.
