During Tuesday night’s meeting of Hopkinsville City Council, a Hopkinsville High School senior was recognized for recently winning the Tennessee Walking Horse Reserve World Champion title.
Mayor Carter Hendricks congratulated 17-year old Svanah Martin, Martin said she started showing Tennessee Walking Horses when she was 6-years old and won her first world championship reserve at the age of 9 on a mare called Showboat Silk, and has continued to be a champion.
