Authorities have released the details of a single-vehicle wreck on Greenville Road in Christian County Tuesday that led to the arrest of a Belton man.
According to the sheriff’s department report, 60-year old Ronnie McGehee was driving northbound on Greenville Road on the wrong side of the road and ran a southbound vehicle off the road with three occupants inside. McGehee’s vehicle then flipped two times and landed on the driver’s side on top of a natural gas line. Deputies say McGehee had a strong odor of alcohol on him and admitted to drinking alcohol and taking Xanax prior to driving. McGehee was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for medical clearance and then taken to the Christian County Jail. He is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs with an aggravator attached, and three counts of wanton endangerment.
