The Homeplace 1850s Working Farm will be hosting a Trades Fair next weekend. It will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 1st and 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
According to a press release from the Friends of Land Between the Lakes, the fair will include traditional trades and craftspeople will share knowledge of vanishing folk art skills.
Admission will be $5 for ages 13 and older, $3 for ages 5-12, and free for children under 4 years of age.
Trades and demonstrations to include:
- Old time grist mill
- 19th Century traveling artist
- Early Native Indian pottery making
- Fancy tatted lace making
- Fine hand knitting and crocheting
- General store
- Homemade breads and baked goods
- Honey products and beekeeping
- Spinning yarn
- Soap making
- Basket making
- 19th Century dressmaking
