Man Charged After Tuesday Eagle Way Bypass Crash

A Hopkinsville man involved in a two vehicle wreck at the intersection of Eagle Way Bypass and Jerry Claiborne Way was arrested for driving on a suspended license.

According to Hopkinsville Police, 31-year old Jeffrey Hall was sitting at a stop sign on Jerry Claibourne Way when the pickup he was driving rolled out into the intersection and was hit by a truck driven by 62-year old Donna Farmer, of Madisonville. Farmer stated she saw other vehicles in front of her swerving and noticed the truck rolling into traffic but could not avoid a collision. Hall reportedly told officers he was looking down at the phone and thought his foot was still on the brake pedal. Eyewitnesses stated Hall never hit his brakes and almost hit two other vehicles before colliding with Farmer’s truck.

Police say Hall was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for complaints of lower back pain. After he was medically cleared, he was arrested and lodged in the Christian County Jail for Driving on a DUI Suspended License with Aggravating Circumstances.
