Deputies Investigating Shots Fired At Woodland Heights

A shots fired call at an apartment complex on Greenville Road is being investigated by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report, deputies responded to the Woodland Heights Apartments the first time around 11:50 Monday morning in reference to shots fired and then returned a second time around 2:45 a.m. for a report of four to six shots being fired. Deputy James Dragoo says he made contact with the victims, Evans Jackson and Anthony Williams, and Jackson stated he was driving through the complex when an unknown black male yelled over and asked what the was doing. Jackson told the subject he was looking for his wife and the subject then told him you’re scaring my wife. Jackson then told Deputy Dragoo he and Williams parked the vehicle and got out when the unknown male fired a shot in their direction. The two men then got back in the vehicle and sped away. Deputy Dragoo says Jackson said he returned to the complex around 11:45 a.m. because he wanted to find out who shot at him, and instead found the spent shell casing on the sidewalk.

The two men described the shooter as a black male, 40 to 50 years old, with a slender build, with waves in his hair, and wearing a black button up shirt with tan shorts.
