The Christian County Grand Jury returned indictments Friday for two people charged with assaulting a child.
David Rang and Kayla Newton were indicted for 1st Degree Assault. Newton was also indicted for 1st Degree Criminal Abuse. According to their indictments, Rang and Newton created grave risk of death of a minor child causing her serious physical injury on June 14.
The grand jury also returned seven other indictments on charges ranging from Knowingly Receiving Stolen Property under $10,000 and Theft by Deception under $500 to Possession and Trafficking of Methamphetamine.
