A Morton’s Gap man was flown to an Evansville hospital after he was ejected when his vehicle overturned multiple times in a single vehicle wreck in Hopkins County Tuesday morning.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to the intersection of Nebo Road and Tucker Schoolhouse Road shortly before 12:10 a.m. after they were contacted by the Madisonville Police Department to reconstruct the collision. Witnesses reported a car was traveling west on Nebo Road at a high rate of speed when it exited the westbound shoulder, ran over several small trees, rolled multiple times and then hit a utility pole.

Authorities say the driver, 33-year old Adam Riley, was thrown from the vehicle and transported by ambulance to Baptist Health in Madisonville. He was later flown to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville.
