A Sunday afternoon wreck on the Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway sent multiple people to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. According to Christian County Sheriff’s Sergeant James Dragoo, seven people were taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
The wreck occurred shortly after 2:30, with Sgt Dragoo saying it occurred when a southbound car changed lanes near the one mile marker, just north of the Interstate 24 interchange, and a ran into another southbound car. Both vehicles than off the parkway into the median.
No further details have been released by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.
