Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear will make a stop in Hopkinsville this afternoon to present a grant to the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center. The grant, from the Child Victim’s Trust Fund, will support victims of child sexual abuse in Christian, Trigg, Caldwell, Todd and other Pennyrile counties.
The Attorney General will make the presentation this afternoon at 1:00 at the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center on East 21st Street in Hopkinsville.
In July, Beshear and Child Victim’s Trust Fund announced nearly $80,000 in grants to cover costs associated with more than 1,000 child sexual abuse forensic exams. The funding will be used through the current year and shared among 15 Children’s Advocacy Centers that serve children in every county in Kentucky.
