Woman Hurt In Friday Butler Road Wreck

One person was taken to the hospital after a vehicle hit a deer on Butler Road Friday afternoon.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies and emergency personnel responded to scene about four miles north of Hopkinsville shortly after 1:30 p.m. Deputies say 33-year old Susan Johnson of Hopkinsville was driving south on Butler Road when a deer ran out of the woods into the road and she was unable to stop in time and hit the animal.

The report indicates a passenger in Johnson’s vehicle, 79-year old Betty Latham of Hopkinsville was transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Johnson and two other passengers were not hurt in the collision.
