The Murray State University Board of Regents named an interim president Tuesday afternoon.

Murray State News reports the board  approved the appointment of Bob Jackson with a salary of over $309,000. He will begin as interim president on August 16 and will remain in the position until a new president is appointed. SGA President, J.T. Payne reportedly voted against Jackson’s appointment.

As we previously report, MSU’s President announced he is resigning, effective September 1, to serve as president at Central Michigan University.
