Harbor Freight Corporate Office officials will not confirm the company may be locating a new store in Hopkinsville.
According to several recent posts on Facebook, Harbor Freight is rumored to have purchased the K-Mart building on Fort Campbell Boulevard to open a store in Hopkinsville. However, Lisa Hartley with the Media Department at Harbor Freight Tools tells the News Edge via email, “unfortunately, as of now, we are unable to comment on a potential store.”
According to a Memorandum of Lease at the Christian County Court Clerk’s Office dated July 27th, Seritage KMT Finance, LLC is listed as the Grantor and Harbor Freight Tools USA, Inc. is listed as the Grantee of property on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
The Harbor Freight Tools website says its Corporate Headquarters is located in Calabasas, California and started out as a small family-owned business in 1977. The store provides more than 7,000 tools and accessories, from shop equipment to automotive tools.
Currently, Harbor Freight Tools has 900 stores across the United States, including locations in Clarksville, Madisonville, Bowling Green and Paducah.
