Between The Rivers Native Pleased With Documentary

Kentucky Parks Commissioner Donnie Holland

Excitement is building as work is being completed on a documentary that will be highlighting the Land Between the Rivers area in Lyon and Trigg Counties in Kentucky and Stewart County in Tennessee. Anne Fentress is an independent filmmaker based in Nashville and has been working on the documentary that will tell the story of the people who were forced out of their homes in that area.

Kentucky Parks Commissioner Donnie Holland tells the News Edge that he used to live in Between the Rivers and that this will be a truthful story as to what happened to the residents who lived there.

Holland says that when the government took away the land, they were expecting for it to draw millions of people each year.

He adds that this was a bad decision made by the government.

Fentress says that the documentary has already been a three-year project. She is currently raising money to hire an editor so it can be put together. You can donate by clicking here.
