A Hopkins County man has been charged with murder after a stabbing Monday night. Kentucky State Police received a call about a stabbing near the intersection of Lisman Mount Myria Road and Kentucky 270 and 874 in Webster County.
Police say the preliminary investigation revealed that 23-year old Christopher Johnson of Dawson Springs stabbed 26-year old George Burchett of Sebree multiple times. Burchett was pronounced dead on the scene by Webster County Coroner Todd Vanover.
Johnson was arrested without incident and lodged in the Webster County Detention Center. Kentucky State Police are still investigating the incident.
