Cadiz Man Charged With 2nd DUI

A Cadiz man is facing his 2nd DUI charge and multiple other offenses after authorities say he drove into a ditch on Tobacco Road in Christian County Saturday night.

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says 60-year old Roy Hale was observed driving east on Cadiz Road crossing the fog line several times onto the shoulder of the road. Deputies indicate he then turned onto Gracey Sinking Ford Road without using a turn signal and failed to stop at a stop sign when approaching Tobacco Road. Hale reportedly tried to make a right turn but went straight across the intersection and ran off into the ditch.

Hale was arrested and booked into the Christian County Jail charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs – Aggravating Circumstances 2nd Offense, Driving on a DUI Suspended License – Aggravating Circumstances, Reckless Driving and other traffic and insurance related offenses.
