Three Men Charged With Trafficking Synthetic Drugs

A traffic violation and an unlit license plate landed three men behind bars Thursday night for trafficking drugs.

Hopkinsville Police report a traffic stop was conducted at South Virginia Street and East 16th Street after officers observed the vehicle with an unlit license plate traveling on East 21st Street. Police say the driver then used an improper turn signal at the intersection of East 21st and South Virginia streets. After police stopped the vehicle, a K-9 unit hit on the vehicle when conducting a free air sniff. During a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly found two ounces of synthetic drug.

24-year old Bradley Higgins and 24-year old Jaleel Lee, both of Murray, and 34-year old Deandre Ash of Almo were arrested and charged with Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs. Higgins and Lee were also charged with other offenses pertaining to the traffic stop.

The three subjects were lodged in the Christian County Jail.
