Clarksville Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide

A Clarksville man has been charged with vehicular homicide and his second DUI after a fatal wreck Wednesday night at the intersection of Peachers Mill Road and 101st Airborne Division.

Clarksville Police Department Public Information Officer Lieutenant Steve Warren reports crash investigators determined 27-year old Bradley Vezeau failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and crashed into a van driven by Christopher Conroy of Clarksville. He says a passenger in the van, 49-year old Judy Tapia of Clarksville, was ejected from the vehicle and died from her injuries.

Vezeau was lodged in the Montgomery County Jail charged with Vehicular Homicide, 2nd Offense DUI, Violation of the Implied Consent Law, and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device. His bond is set at $300,000.

Clarksville Police Department Traffic Unit Investigator Jennifer Szczerbiak reports this is Clarksville’ ninth traffic fatality for 2018. She adds they had thirteen fatalities in 2017.

Clarksville Police Department Traffic Unit Sergeant Bret Norfleet is also asking everyone to please refrain from drinking and driving during the upcoming July 4th holiday.
