Man Charged With Threatening Coworkers On Social Media

A Madisonville man was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly made threats on social media against his coworkers at a factory.

Madisonville Police report officers were called to G.E. Aviation, located at 3050 Nebo Road, at 3:00 p.m. in reference to 55-year old James Courtney making threats of violence on Facebook posts. Police say the threats were of a serious nature and deemed to be valid. A warrant was obtained and Courtney was taken into custody by officers at the Madisonville plant.

Courtney was booked into the Hopkins County Jail charged with 3rd Degree Terroristic Threatening.
