Details Released Of Saturday Parkway Collision

The Christian County Sheriff’s Department has released the details of a two vehicle wreck that occurred Saturday on the Pennyrile Parkway that sent three people to the hospital.

According to the report, a pickup driven by 25-year old Michael Hepker of Rock Falls, Illinois was stopped on the shoulder of the northbound lanes on the parkway, north of Interstate 24 and attempted to merge back into the travel portion of the road when his truck was hit by a van driven by 38-year old Pamela Johnson of Clarksville.

The report indicates a passenger in Hepker’s truck, 17-year old Baylei Ferris of Sterling, Illinois, and two passengers in Johnson’s van, 12-year old Gwendalynn Johnson and 12-year old Breeanna Priko, both of Clarksville, were all transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries.

The collision occurred around 12:45 Saturday afternoon and the parkway was reportedly blocked until 2pm to allow crews to clean up the accident scene.
