Kentucky Interim Commissioner of Education Wayne Lewis has appointed a Trigg County woman to fill the vacant position in Division 1 with the Trigg County School Board. Linda Wood fills the seat of former board member Sharon Simmons, who resigned earlier this year.
Wood retired after a 30-year career working with child and youth programs in Fort Knox. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Administration from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration on Youth Development and Recreation from Concordia University in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
