A Hopkinsville man was arrested after he allegedly fled from police on a moped early Tuesday morning.

While responding to an attempted suicide call in 2100 block of Crockett Street around 1:30 a.m., Hopkinsville Police officers say they saw a man matching the description traveling northbound on Hazel Street on a moped. When trying to make a traffic stop, officers indicate the moped operator identified as 27-year old Coty Flynn, continued to drive away and didn’t stop and led police back to his residence on Crockett Street.

Upon contact with Flynn, police say he had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages on him and his breath, couldn’t stand on his own will and was very lethargic in his motions.
