Police say the 15-year old girl who was shot at a gathering in Livingston County over the weekend has died from her injuries. Kentucky State Police identified the teen as Peyton Hurt of Boaz.
Police say the 1st degree Assault charge on 19-year old Tyler Jones of Ledbetter, who was arrested Saturday night, will be changed to Murder during his scheduled arraignment. Police also arrested 20-year old Alexis Johnson of Paducah Saturday night and charged her with Hindering Apprehension.
According to police, Hurt was shot Saturday night around 8:30 in Ledbetter and sustained life threatening injuries. She was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health in Paducah and had been on life-support.
Jones and Johnson were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
