Authorities say they do not know what caused a wreck that claimed the life of a missing Clarksville woman who was found dead in her car on Graysville Road Tuesday.
Guthrie Police Chief Matthew Humble tells the News Edge they learned 77-year old Erica Shirer had been reported missing since Saturday night.

He says it is unknown what caused Shirer to run off the road near Guthrie less than a mile from the Kentucky-Tennessee state line, but the car was not visible from the road. Chief Humble says the cause of death hasn’t been released, but it’s probably going to be blunt force trauma from the crash.
