Hopkinsville Man Charged With Public Works Burglary

A Hopkinsville man is facing burglary and receiving stolen property charges after he was arrested Saturday morning at the Hopkinsville Public Works building. Accordng to the Hopkinsville Police Department, 37-year-old Gregory Allen Keyes was arrested after he was found inside one of the public works’ vehicles.

Police say Keyes is accused of taking items from several vehicles and buildings at the public works complex. Several items had been removed and thrown over a fence, including chain saws, tarps, coolers and other items. Police say Keyes was also under the influence of drugs and admitted that he had previously used Methamphetamines.

Keyes was charged with Burglary third degree, Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000 and Public Intoxication. He was lodged in Christian County Jail.
