Three Teens Charged With Assault And Robbery

Police say three juveniles are in custody after committing a vicious assault and robbery at a carwash in Clarksville Wednesday night.

Clarksville Police Department Public Information Officer Jim Knoll reports the three juveniles entered the Super Suds Carwash located at 714 Peachers Mill Road around 10pm and pointed a rifle at the employee and a struggle ensued, and the man fell to the ground. Police add the man was then kicked and hit with the butt of the rifle multiple times. While one of the juveniles allegedly pointed the rifle at the victim on the floor, Knoll says the other juvneiles tipped over a coin operated game machine and took an unknown amount of money. The juveniles then reportedly took the victim’s keys to his pickup and fled the scene.

According to Knoll, detectives worked with patrol officers to identify the juveniles and had all three in custody by late Thursday afternoon. The two 14-year old juveniles and a 13-year old were charged with Especially Aggravated Robbery, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and transported to a juvenile holding facility. Knoll indicates additional charges are expected.

After the assault, Knoll says the victim was taken by ambulance to Tennova Medical Center in Clarksville and then transferred to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where is he listed in stable condition after being treated for injures from the robbery.
