A Russellville woman was arrested on meth and marijuana charges in the early morning hours on Memorial Day.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Department reports a deputy was conducting a routine patrol at Briggs Lake shortly after 1:15 Monday morning when he observed a pickup truck with 39-year old Edwina Sanford and another individual engaged in inappropriate activity inside of the vehicle. Through an investigation, the deputy reportedly found two plastic baggies containing meth and a glass pipe containing marijuana that had been tossed out of the truck’s passenger side window by Sanford.

Sanford was taken into custody and booked into the Logan County Jail charged with 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
