A Marshall County woman was arrested Wednesday after she was indicted for the alleged theft of $20,000 from U.S. Bank in Benton.
Kentucky State Police report 40-year old Amanda Powell was charged with Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $10,000 after an investigation revealed she stole took the money while she was employed at the bank. The case was presented to the Marshall County Grand Jury on Tuesday, May 9, and a true bill on the case was returned and an indictment warrant was issued.
Police say Powell was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Marshall County Jail.
Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate this case.
