The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 11:00am until 7:00pm Wednesday.
Meteorologists say sustained winds 15 to 20 mph from the southwest with gusts over 30 mph at times is possible in the advisory area.
The strong winds will result in hazardous conditions for small watercraft.
A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Meteorologists say small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
