Two Christian County School employees that were being investigated by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department have been fired, with a third now on administrative leave. According to the Kentucky New Era, Christian County Assistant boys basketball coach Marcereyon Tandy and instructor Ada Michelle Thorson were dismissed April 16th.

The article cites an open records request that indicated both Tandy and Thorson were investigated for allegedly being involved in inappropriate/unprofessional behavior with students. Thorson was placed on administrative leave February 19, with Tandy placed on administrative leave February 23.

A third employee, Christian County boys assistant basketball coach Nicholas Riley, was reportedly notified on April 23 by the district that his limited contract of employment for the 2018-19 school year would not be renewed. Riley was also placed on administrative leave February 19 following “student allegations”.

The majority of the investigation has been conducted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Chris Miller said two of the employees are no longer under investigation after the department found the criminal charges against the employees to be unfounded. The third employee remains under investigation.
