Police say a 25-year old Hopkinsville man was charged with assault after he threw a television at his girlfriend Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police responded to a disturbance call in the 100 block of North Kentucky Avenue around 10:15pm. Upon arrival, officers say Andrea Baron stated that her boyfriend, Jeremy Abbitt threw a large tv at her, that landed on her foot, breaking her big toe nail off and possibly breaking the bone, as well.
Police report Abbitt was found at the intersection of West 1st Street and McPherson Avenue and under the influence of alcohol.
Abbitt was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Domestic Violence Assault, and Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
