A Hopkins County man was arrested in connection to a stabbing that occurred on Eastside Lane in Madisonville Monday night.
Madisonville Police report they received a call from the Baptist Health Emergency Room shortly after 11:30 Monday night in reference to a patient, Jonathan Wagoner of Nebo Road, who had been stabbed in the 1000 block of Eastside Lane. Police say Wagoner had two stab wounds near the rib cage, a broken rib, and a cut to his stomach.
34-year old Troy Bess was taken into custody and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center charged with 1st Degree Assault.
