Princeton Police are continuing to investigate a Friday night crash involving a volunteer firefighter that was responding to a fire call in his personal vehicle when he was involved in a crash with an SUV.

Princeton Police Chief Chris King released the information Tuesday that the collision occurred at the intersection of South Jefferson and Washington streets shortly after 9:15 Friday night. He says a preliminary investigation revealed 47-year old Deanna Riley of Princeton was eastbound on West Washington Street and hit an SUV driven by volunteer fireman, 37-year old Christopher Pool.

Chief King says Pool was in his personal vehicle resonding to the fire station for a fire call at the time of the wreck and that his emergency lights and siren were activated at the time of the crash.

Riley was transported by ambulance to Caldwell Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
