The Trigg County community is mourning the loss of well-known businesswoman Betty Ricks, who passed away Wednesday morning. Funeral services for Ricks are scheduled for Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz.
Ricks worked in the Real Estate business in Trigg County and the area for 32 years. She was the owner and operator of Coldwell Banker Service 1st Realty in Cadiz for many of those years. Ricks was also a member of the Pennyrile Board of Realtors, where she served on the board of directors and was awarded Realtor of the Year in 1994 and 2016.
Betty was also a member of the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce, where she previously served as President. Ricks was also an active member of the Cadiz Rotary Club and was a faithful member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the ALS Association headquartered in Florence, Kentucky, or Pennyroyal Hospice in Hopkinsville.
