A Madisonville woman was arrested for drug trafficking after authorities reportedly found meth, cash, and other drug items during a search of her home Wednesday morning.
Madisonville Police report officers obtained a search warrant for a residence on Oates Street after they received information regarding illegal drug sales. During the search of the home around 12:33 Wednesday morning, officers reportedly found suspected methamphetamine along with several digital scales, small plastic baggies, cash, and a small memo book, which they indicate is consistent with drug trafficking.
41-year old Dawn Thompson was taken into custody and booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center charged with her second offense of 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Greater or Equal to 2 Grams of Meth).
