In an effort to honor the memory of a slain Hopkinsville Police Officer, the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center has established a new award, The Phillip Meacham Believers Award. Victim Advocate, Clara Butler, speaking at the third annual breakfast fund raiser Tuesday morning, explained why the new award was created.

The award was accepted on behalf of the church by Harold Knight.The Hopkinsville Police Department was named winner of the Community Partner Award. Butler made the presentation.

Hopkinsville Police chief Clayton Sumner accepted the award and had high praise for the Advocacy Center.
