A man wanted on Christian County warrants was arrested in Trigg County Tuesday night after authorities received a tip. Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Major David Tomlinson says the Crime Stoppers tip indicated that John Wayne Mann, Jr. was hiding in the Linton area at a residence on Apple Valley Drive. He and Deputy Jason Key went to the home around midnight Tuesday where they made contact with Mann, who wanted to know who they were looking for and then went back into the house and locked the doors. Major Tomlinson says Mann’s sister-in-law allowed him inside the home and then Mann locked all the doors again and ran out a side door toward a wooded area. The short foot pursuit ended after Major Tomlinson says he deployed his taser and Mann was taken into custody without further incident.

Mann was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Fleeing and Evading Police on Foot. He was also served the warrants for Failure to Appear on charges of 1st Degree Fleeing and Evading Police in a Motor Vehicle, 2nd Degree Fleeing and Evading Police on Foot, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and another offense.
