The Kentucky Lottery recently celebrated its 29th Anniversary since lottery tickets first went on sale in the state, which comes on the heals of near record-breaking sales in March. President and CEO Tom Delacenserie says the record-breaking sales was fueled by two large jackpots in Mega Millions and Powerball — in addition to near historic Scratch-off ticket sales, pushing Kentucky Lottery sales for March to $104.1 million.

He adds it’s been a great effort by the Kentucky Lottery staff to reach these level of sales, and they know at the end of the day their work helps send Kentucky kids to college here at home. Delacenserie notes that’s an important cause which drives them.
