Police say a traffic stop in Hopkinsville Thursday afternoon netted the arrest of a 29-year old man for trafficking meth and heroin. Hopkinsville Police report officers pulled over a vehicle driven by Day Miller at 1:05pm after he failed to use his turn signal when he turned onto South Virginia Street from West 5th Street and then made an improper turn into the far right lane.

Upon contact with Miller, police say he appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic due to his entire body shaking and his face turning pale. When Miller exited the vehicle, officers reportedly found several pocket knives on him.

After a K-9 officer arrived on the scene and hit on the vehicle, police say they found a black case under the driver’s seat containing heroin, methamphetamine possibly with Fentanyl, along with a needle and silver spoon with residue.

Miller was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Under 2 Grams of Methamphetamine), Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Heroin), Improper Turning, and Failure to or Improper Signal.
