Anyone who needs federal tax assistance or has any concerns is encouraged to attend a meeting Monday with 1st District Congressman James Comer’s staff and the Taxpayer Advocate Service. According to a release, several members of Congressman Comer’s staff will also be on site to help residents in the First District with federal tax-related issues.
The Taxpayer Advocate Service provides free assistance to taxpayers who are having difficulty resolving an issue with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). If your case qualifies, officials say you will be assigned a TAS Case Advocate who will work with your to resolve your problem with the IRS.
The assistance will be provided beginning at 1:00 Monday afternoon at the Pennyrile Area Development District located at 300 Hammond Drive in Hopkinsville.
