Man Flown To Hospital After Friday Motorcycle Wreck

A Crofton man was flown to a Nashville hospital after a motorcycle wreck in north Christian County. Kentucky State Police report the accident occurred 12:15 Friday afternoon on Castleberry-Crofton Road, north of Crofton.

State Police say 41-year old Jason Barnes was operating a motorcycle north on the roadway when he ran over loose gravel which caused him to lose control and exit the right side of the roadway. Barnes then traveled over a gravel driveway and was thrown from the motorcycle, approximately 20 feet.

Barnes, who police say was not wearing a helmet, was flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries.

Kentucky State Police are continuing to investigate the wreck.
