Members of the community are now coming together in an effort to help the family of fallen Hopkinsville Police officer Phillip Meacham. A GoFundMe account has been set up to benefit Meacham’s family. Those creating the account add that the page will also be updated with other area locations where donations can be made to support the family.
Meacham, who was off duty at the time, was shot Thursday afternoon on Paulette Court. Between his time with the Hopkinsville Police Department and the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, he had given more than 13 years of service to protecting his community.
Those who set up the GoFundMe page did state that if you are not able to donate, to please keep the officers serving our community, family, friends and community as a whole in your prayers, as the community deals with such a horrific incident right here at home.
