Police say a call about suspicious subjects at a home on Cox Mill Road Tuesday morning led to the arrest of two Hopkinsville residents on burglary charges.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they responded to the 9000 block of Cox Mill Road at 9:46am and found 30-year old Christopher Edmonson and 35-year old Ciara Edmonson, who stated their vehicle had run out of gas and that was why they were at the residence. Deputies say they then received another call regarding the same vehicle being at another property where some items were stolen from a shop. A witness from the theft stated that the female was seen walking with the male from the rear of the building where the items were taken. Both subjects were arrested and the stolen property was reportedly returned to the owner.

While on the way to the Christian County Jail, deputies say Ciara Edmonson stated that she had a meth pipe inside her pants, which was found during a search at the jail. Both subjects were charged with 3rd Degree Burglary. Ciara Edmonson was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
