A Hopkinsville woman was transported to the hospital after a two vehicle collision on Skyline Drive Monday morning. Police report the crash occurred at 7:35am in the 1000 block.
Hopkinsville Police say 42-year old Gena McGowan Jnbaptiste was driving eastbound in the left lane approaching the railroad tracks where the signals were flashing on Skyline Drive when she tried to merge to the center turning lane and collided with a vehicle driven by 35-year old Lamonte Blaine of Hopkinsville.
According to police, Jnbaptiste complained of pain in her left arm and was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Blaine and two child passengers in Jnbaptiste’s vehicle were not hurt in the wreck.
Officers indicate both vehicles were inoperable and were towed from the scene.
