Just weeks before the accused Marathon murderer’s trial is set to start, his attorney is voicing concerns about a witness identification. Wednesday morning, Dorien Meullion was in Christian Circuit court for a pretrial conference on one count of Murder. Defense Attorney, Clay Beineke told Judge John Atkins he filed a motion to exclude a witness statement.

He also filed a motion pertaining to the gun.

Judge Atkins told Beineke and Commonwealth’s Attorney Lynn Pryor to agree to a time for an evidentiary hearing and let him know. A trial is set to begin March 22 with jury selection. Meullion is accused of fatally shooting Tarone Williams at the East 9th Street Marathon gas station on October 15, 2016. Williams was inside a car at the time and fled but crashed into a van in front of the L&N Depot.
