Authorities say slippery road conditions Monday morning caused a single-vehicle wreck on Dawson Springs Road that injured a 24-year old man. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to the wreck in the 23,000 block of Dawson Springs Road around 7:30am where deputies say Braxton Burden, of Dawson Springs, was driving a Charter Communications van about 30 to 35 mph when he hit some ice. Deputies say the van crossed the roadway and went into a ditch and ended up against a tree.

Burden was transported by ambulance to Baptist Health in Madisonville where he was reportedly treated for a concussion and a dislocated elbow.

Deputies say the van had severe damage and had to be towed from the scene.
