The Marshall County Rescue Squad was busy Wednesday responding to water rescues. They responded to two capsized boats and a car that had driven into waters with a woman and children inside.

The Rescue Squad, according to social media posts, responded to a capsized boat in the lake with two males. The males were reportedly transported to a local hospital for minor care due to exposure. While on that call, the rescue squad received another call about another boat taking on water. They say the individual in that boat was transported to land by another boater and the squad pulled the boat out of the main channel and tied it off to the bank.

Later on in the day, the Rescue Squad, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Marshall County EMS, and McCracken County Rescue Squad responded to a car with a woman and four children that had driven into waters near the east fork of Clark’s River on Bryant Ford Road. The woman was reportedly able to get all occupants out of the vehicle and to a residence, and all were reported safe.
